Trench Rammer Upright Rammer Petrol Lumag VS80C 11″ x 14″ Foot
Introduction
The Lumag VS80C Petrol Trench Rammer is a robust and efficient compaction tool designed to meet the rigorous demands of construction and landscaping professionals. Powered by a reliable 4-stroke petrol engine, this rammer delivers substantial impact force, making it ideal for compacting cohesive and granular soils in confined spaces such as trenches, foundations, and backfill areas. Its engineering excellence ensures optimal performance, durability, and ease of use, positioning the VS80C as a valuable asset for projects requiring precise soil compaction
Engine Performance and Specifications
At the core of the Lumag VS80C is a single-cylinder, 4-stroke OHV petrol engine, model, delivering a power output of 4.1 kW (approximately 5.6 horsepower). With a displacement of 196 cm³, this engine provides the necessary force to achieve effective compaction. The engine is designed for efficiency and reliability, featuring a recoil starter system for straightforward ignition. The fuel tank has a capacity of 2.7 liters, allowing for extended operation between refueling.
Compaction Efficiency
The VS80C is engineered to deliver a high-impact force, achieving a compaction pressure of up to 1,200 kg/m². This level of force ensures that both cohesive and granular soils are compacted effectively, providing a stable foundation for various construction applications. The rammer operates with a percussion rate ranging from 600 to 700 blows per minute, and the amplitude of the tamping foot ranges between 40 to 66 mm, allowing for efficient energy transfer into the soil.
Design and Dimensions
The tamping foot of the VS80C measures approximately 360 x 285 mm, providing a balanced surface area for compaction tasks. The machine’s forward speed ranges between 10 to 13 meters per minute, facilitating swift progress across the worksite. Weighing in at 78 kg (net weight), the rammer offers a substantial weight that aids in the compaction process while remaining manageable for the operator. The overall dimensions of the machine are 770 mm in length, 460 mm in width, and 1,160 mm in height, making it suitable for operation in confined spaces.
Operator Comfort and Safety
Operator comfort and safety are paramount in the design of the VS80C. The machine is equipped with a vibration-dampened handle, reducing operator fatigue during prolonged use. The ergonomic design ensures that the operator can maintain control and precision while maneuvering the rammer. Additionally, the machine includes transport wheels and a motor cover, enhancing portability and protecting vital components from environmental factors.
Applications
The versatility of the Lumag VS80C makes it suitable for a wide range of applications, including:
- Trench Compaction: Ideal for compacting soil in trenches for utility installations, ensuring stability and preventing future settlement.
- Foundation Preparation: Provides a solid base by compacting soil prior to pouring concrete foundations, essential for structural integrity.
- Backfill Compaction: Ensures that backfilled areas are properly compacted to prevent voids and settling, which can compromise structural elements.
- Road and Pathway Construction: Assists in creating stable sub-bases for roads, driveways, and walkways, contributing to longevity and durability.
Maintenance and Durability
The Lumag VS80C is constructed with high-quality materials and components, ensuring longevity and reliability under demanding conditions. Regular maintenance, such as checking engine oil levels, air filter cleanliness, and inspecting the tamping foot for wear, will keep the machine operating at peak performance. The design allows for easy access to service points, simplifying routine maintenance tasks.
Conclusion
The Lumag VS80C Petrol Trench Rammer stands out as a powerful and dependable solution for professionals seeking efficient soil compaction in various construction and landscaping projects. Its combination of robust engine performance, effective compaction capabilities, and user-friendly design makes it a valuable addition to any contractor’s equipment lineup. By delivering consistent and reliable results, the VS80C contributes to the quality and durability of the structures built upon its compacted foundation.
